These are the general terms and conditions of:

For the purposes of keeping these terms and conditions clear and understandable, the following terms shall have the following fixed meanings:

Term	Meaning
Consumer	The Customer acting for purposes outside their business or professional activity.
Right of Withdrawal	The right of a Consumer to withdraw from a distance contract or an off-premises contract without giving any reason, as referred to in Article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code.
Customer	Any person or legal entity that enters into an Agreement with Wandering Words.
Agreement	Any contractual relationship between Wandering Words and the Customer.

The terms “you” and “your” refer to the Customer.

2 – Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to all purchases made through the Wandering Words website and to every agreement between you and Wandering Words. Any general terms and conditions used by you shall not apply, unless Wandering Words has expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.

If any provision of these general terms and conditions is deemed void or voidable, all other provisions shall remain in force. In that case, Wandering Words and the Customer will jointly agree on new provisions. The purpose and intent of the new provision(s) shall correspond as closely as possible to those of the original provision(s).

If the Agreement contains provisions that differ from these general terms and conditions, the provisions of the Agreement shall prevail. This allows us to make agreements that deviate from these general terms and conditions. However, any such deviation shall apply only if Wandering Words has expressly confirmed it in writing.

3 – Products and orders

All products are described and depicted as completely and accurately as possible. Obvious mistakes or errors in the product information do not bind Wandering Words.

Images are intended for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product, for example in colour or minor details.

4 – Delivery

The Agreement is concluded when the Consumer places an order through the Wandering Words website and the payment has been successfully completed. The Consumer will receive an order confirmation by email containing the relevant details of the order.

Wandering Words will ship orders as soon as reasonably possible. The delivery times stated on the website are indicative and may be affected by circumstances beyond the control of Wandering Words.

Orders will be delivered to the delivery address provided by the Customer during the ordering process. If an order is returned because the Customer provided an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, any additional costs for reshipping the order may be charged to the Customer.

The risk of loss or damage to the products remains with Wandering Words until the products have been delivered to the Customer, unless otherwise required by law.

Pre-order products will be shipped as soon as they become available. The expected release or delivery date will be stated on the relevant product page.

5 – Prices

All prices displayed on the website are in euros and include applicable VAT, unless stated otherwise. Any applicable shipping costs will be clearly displayed before the order is completed. Customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs fees or other charges imposed by the authorities in the destination country.

6 – Payment

Payment must be completed through one of the payment methods offered during the checkout process.

Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully completed.

Wandering Words uses third-party payment providers to process payments. The payment methods available may vary depending on the Customer's location and other applicable factors.

7 – Warranties

Wandering Words guarantees that the products supplied conform to the Agreement and meet the requirements that the Customer may reasonably expect from them, taking into account the nature of the product and the information provided on the website.

For second-hand or pre-owned books, the condition of the book will be clearly stated in the product description. Minor signs of use will not constitute a defect where these are consistent with the stated condition.

If a product does not conform to the Agreement, the Customer is entitled to the statutory remedies available under Dutch consumer law. Any commercial warranty offered by Wandering Words does not affect these statutory rights.

8 – Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Wandering Words website, including its texts, photographs, logo, branding, designs and other original content, belong to Wandering Words or its licensors.

The content of the website may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or otherwise used without the prior written permission of Wandering Words, unless permitted by law.

9 – Right of Withdrawal

If you are a Consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 days after receiving your order.

To exercise your Right of Withdrawal, you must inform Wandering Words within this 14-day period by means of an unequivocal statement, for example by email to contact@wanderingwords.nl. You may use the model withdrawal form attached to these terms and conditions, but you are not required to do so.

After notifying Wandering Words of your decision to withdraw, you must return the product within 14 days. The direct costs of returning the product are borne by the Customer, unless Wandering Words has agreed to bear these costs or has failed to inform the Customer before the purchase that these costs would be borne by the Customer.

During the withdrawal period, you must handle the product and its packaging with care. You may only handle the product to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. You are liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose.

When you exercise your Right of Withdrawal, Wandering Words will refund all payments received from you, including the applicable standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision to withdraw. Wandering Words may wait with the refund until the returned product has been received or you have provided proof that the product has been returned. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

The Right of Withdrawal does not apply where an exception provided by applicable law applies. Any applicable exception will be clearly stated on the relevant product page before purchase.

11 – Privacy

Wandering Words processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. For more information about how we process personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

12 – Complaints

Complaints can be submitted to contact@wanderingwords.nl. Wandering Words aims to respond to complaints within 14 days of receipt. If a complaint requires more time to process, you will receive an acknowledgement within this period, along with an indication of when you can expect a substantive response.

13 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Dutch law applies to agreements between Wandering Words and the Customer, insofar as mandatory statutory provisions do not provide otherwise.

Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court, in accordance with the applicable statutory rules regarding jurisdiction and consumer protection.

14 - Changes

Wandering Words reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the website.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions will not affect agreements that have already been concluded, unless otherwise required or permitted by law.
