Returns & Refund Policy

At Wandering Words, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains how returns and refunds are handled. Your statutory consumer rights, including the legal Right of Withdrawal, remain unaffected by this policy.

1. Returns

You have the right to return your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order. If the 14-day return period has expired, we unfortunately cannot accept the return or issue a refund, unless otherwise required by law.

2. Conditions for Returns

Products should be returned in the same condition in which they were received, taking into account any reasonable handling necessary to inspect and assess the product.

If a product is handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and this results in a reduction in value, Wandering Words may deduct the resulting reduction in value from the refund where permitted by law.

Where reasonably possible, products should be returned in their original packaging and with any accessories supplied.

For second-hand or pre-owned books, the condition stated in the product description will be taken into account when assessing any reduction in value. Signs of use that were already clearly described in the product listing do not constitute a reduction in value caused by the Customer.

3. Return Process

To start a return, please contact us at contact@wanderingwords.nl within 14 days of receiving your order and include your order number.

We will provide you with the return address and any relevant return instructions.

The direct costs of returning a product are the responsibility of the customer, unless the product is being returned because it is defective, damaged or incorrect.  In that case, we will cover the return shipping costs.

Please keep your proof of return and tracking information until your return has been processed.

4. Refunds

Once we have received and checked your returned product, we will confirm receipt and process your refund within 14 days using the original payment method.

Any refund of delivery costs will be made in accordance with applicable law. Any additional costs resulting from choosing a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded where this is permitted by law.

5. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If your product arrives damaged, is defective, or you received an incorrect product, please contact us at contact@wanderingwords.nl as soon as possible and include your order number and, where relevant, photographs of the product and its packaging.

Your statutory consumer rights remain fully applicable. Where a product does not conform to the Agreement, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or another remedy in accordance with applicable law.

For second-hand or pre-owned books, defects or signs of wear that were clearly described in the product listing are not considered undisclosed defects.

6. Exchanges

Wandering Words does not currently offer direct exchanges.

If you would like a different product, you can return your original order in accordance with this policy and place a new order separately.
